From Problem Solvers to Problem Preventers

When Bart McCollum joined Lime Media Group, the company was already running on EOS®. They were having Level 10 Meetings, setting Rocks, and tracking data on their Scorecard. The basic operating cadence was already there, but old habits were hard to break.

Lime’s work comes with hard deadlines and little room for error. The team was good at solving urgent client problems, but those fires often pulled attention away from their Rocks. By the end of the quarter, the urgent work was done, but the bigger priorities had fallen behind.

Something needed to change. Bart summed up the new approach they’d be taking in one sentence: "We are problem preventers now."

He helped the leadership team stop jumping into every urgent issue. Managers started taking more ownership of the day-to-day, while the leadership team stayed focused on Rocks, milestones, and the work tied to the company’s long-term goals.
