Getting everyone on the same page“Why don’t they get it?” is how a phone call began with a Visionary several years ago. “Get what?” I replied. “My vision,” he said. Then he proceeded to share that his leadership team completed the V/TO®, they shared it at the State of the Company, and they even made T-shirts. However, in meetings beyond the leadership team there was limited connectivity to Core Values, Core Focus, and the 1-year plan. After I asked a few follow-up questions, we agreed that this would be a 2-year journey to 80% Strong across the entire organization. We needed to roll out EOS® to the whole team to get everyone on the same page. There’s a Proven Process for implementing EOS, and it starts with the five foundational tools: The Accountability Chart®, Rocks, The Meeting Pulse®, the Scorecard and the Vision/Traction Organizer®. EOS is a system for managing human energy. It’s designed to help you get everyone on the same page with where you’re going and how you’re going to get there. That’s not possible if the Six Key Components and the 20 tools don’t move beyond the leadership team. The problem comes when the rollout is viewed as an event and not a journey. It should be an evolution of culture within the organization, which includes rituals (things you do consistently) and artifacts (things you create to remind us of beliefs and behaviors). If you don’t bring your whole team on board, leadership works from one system, while the rest of the company is still using spreadsheets, side conversations, and different meeting rhythms. I’ve implemented over 50 teams using Ninety because it helps close that gap. Ninety gives your whole company one shared place to run EOS every week, every meeting. That way, every team throughout your organization can see what matters, own their work, and use the same process to solve issues and stay aligned. Everyone working as one to win. |

5 Reasons EOS® Works Best When Your Whole Team Is On ItWhen EOS® stops at the leadership team, alignment gets harder to maintain throughout the rest of the company. Leadership may be reviewing Rocks, solving issues through IDS®, and running structured Level 10 Meetings®, but other teams are still working through separate systems with inconsistent processes. In this blog, Christine Watts walks through what improves when the whole company runs on EOS together:
See how companies extend EOS® beyond the leadership team and create stronger alignment across the business. |

Meetings Kinda SuckThis meeting could have been an email…If you have ever felt this way then it’s time for a change. Earlier this month, I introduced my new book Meetings Kinda Suck. It’s been incredible to hear your feedback and even see the book land on the Amazon Best Sellers list. A lot of work and support went into this one, and I’d love to hear what you think. The work we do as EOS Implementers has a real impact on how organizations operate, and that starts with running strong weekly Level 10 Meetings®. |
