Earlier this month, I facilitated a Quarterly Planning Session with a leadership team that came in prepared.

They sent their financial report out to the entire team ahead of time, and everyone reviewed it before we met. They also discussed their Rocks during the previous Level 10 Meeting® so we already knew which ones were complete and which ones needed another conversation.

Because they did that work beforehand, we were able to move through the quarterly review without spending valuable time tracking down data in reports or collecting updates from different team members. That gave us time to focus on the issues that needed a decision now and make a plan for the upcoming quarter.

Preparation does a lot more than improve a meeting. It gives you the information you need to make better decisions while there’s still time to improve the outcome.
