Use SWOT to Reset Your FocusI was in a Quarterly Session recently where the team kept trying to fix the same issue from three different angles. New process. Different hire. Adjust the numbers. After about 30 minutes, I stopped them and said, “I think we’re solving the wrong problem.” So we ran a quick SWOT. Soon after, a weakness that had been sitting there for two quarters finally got named. An external threat everyone felt but never said out loud went on the board. The conversation shifted immediately. Most leadership teams do not lack effort. They lack a pause. SWOT gives you that pause. It forces you to step back, tell the truth about where you are, and decide what actually deserves a Rock next quarter. |

Run the Reset Before You ReactMost teams adjust tactics when they feel friction. Few step back and test their assumptions. In the blog, I walk through how EOS® teams use SWOT during clarity breaks and Planning Sessions to surface what is actually driving results and what is quietly holding them back. The power is not in the grid. It is in what you choose to move into Issues and Rocks once you see the full picture. If your team feels busy but unclear, this is a disciplined place to start. |
