When Your Scorecard Isn’t Driving the Week
A few weeks ago, I asked a leadership team a simple question at the end of their Level 10 Meeting®: what actually moved this week?
Nobody answered right away. It caught them off guard because they all felt productive. But when we looked at the Scorecard, the measurables that are supposed to predict performance were flat. Being busy and checking off To-Dos in Ninety does not mean the business is actually moving forward, and I could see that realization hit in real time.
This happens a lot when we are moving fast. Strong teams can get into this habit without even realizing it. The Scorecard should not be something you just check at the end of the week. It should be shaping your week from the beginning.
