A lot of founders think their company hits a ceiling because of strategy, market conditions, or the team. Sometimes that’s true. But a lot of the time, the real challenge is the founder.
I’ve watched this happen for years. As a business grows and complexity increases, the old way of leading starts to break down. What got you here doesn’t always get you there, and that’s a difficult thing to admit when you’re used to solving problems by pushing harder.

Leadership isn’t static. It evolves. And if your leadership capacity doesn’t keep expanding, your company will eventually feel that limit. You may still have the drive. You may still have the skills. But if your worldview stays the same, your company can only grow so far.
The question isn’t whether your company can keep growing. It’s whether you can grow with it.
